At Manor Park CE First School we are committed to empowering the children to become competent digital leaders, using ICT for a range of purposes to enhance their everyday lives, equipping them for skills of the wider world and world of work, while remaining safe and secure online.
Our ICT curriculum is split into core areas following the Chris Quigley scheme of work: Digital literacy is a component of media literacy. It refers to an individual’s ability to find, evaluate, produce and communicate clear information through writing and other forms of communication on various digital platforms.
Information technology (IT) is the use of computers to store, retrieve, transmit, and manipulate data, or information.
Computer science is the theory, experimentation, and engineering that form the basis for the design and use of computers. It involves the study of algorithms that process, store, and communicate digital information.
